Cách đây 225 năm, vị anh hùng áo vải Nguyễn Huệ đã lãnh đạo nhân dân đánh tan 5 vạn quân Xiêm. Tại đây, du khách tận mắt chứng kiến hàng trăm loại rắn khác nhau. Từ những loài rắn hiền lành, đến các loài rắn độc như: rắn hổ ngựa, rắn hổ đất, rắn mái gầm đều có. Ngoài ra, trại còn có những loài động vật quý hiếm như: trăn, cá sấu, ba ba, khỉ, vượn…<br />Trại rắn này tọa lạc tại xã Phước Thạnh, huyện Châu Thành, chỉ cách thành phố Mỹ Tho khoảng 9 km. Hiện nay, trại rắn Đồng Tâm còn được coi là "bảo tàng rắn" duy nhất ở Việt Nam. Đặc biệt, đây còn là nơi chữa trị rắn cắn cho bà con khu vực đồng bằng sông Cửu Long. Tiền thân là Xí nghiệp 408, đến năm 1988 được nâng cấp lên thành trung tâm nuôi trồng, nghiên cứu, chế biến dược liệu của Quân khu 9, có nhiệm vụ bảo tồn các nguồn dược liệu quý; sản xuất thuốc y học dân tộc.<br /><br />Một chuyến du lịch sông nước bằng thuyền dọc bờ sông Tiền với làng nuôi cá bè và bốn cù lao sẽ mang đến cho bạn cảm giác yên bình. Chuyến tham quan của bạn sẽ trọn vẹn khi ghé cù lao Thới Sơn, đến nhà nông dân tham quan vườn trái cây, tham gia "tát mương bắt cá" bằng gàu dây, gàu sòng. Tự mình bắt cá bằng tay, bằng nôm hoặc bằng câu.
